Remember When?… A Musical Trip Down Memory Lane
Last Fall, surrounded by many people who knew and loved Emmalee, we held a musical fundraiser at Moses Montefiore Anshe Emunah, our synagogue in Baltimore. The music was loving supplied by a dear friend, Earl Rosenberg who serenaded us with his sax and beautiful backup music. The fundraiser gave us the chance to spread our message of Don’t Wait…Vaccinate! We shared information about the measles and the need for a timely measles vaccine and the complications of the measles virus. Everyone had a great time talking and eating and even dancing as the day went on. Tears were shed as we remembered Emmy and her lively spirit. We were able to raise $2,000.00 to fund just that many measles vaccine doses through the Red Cross Measles Inititiative. Children starting off life like Emmalee did will have the protection they need to avoid the horrors of the measles and its complications.
